Dear Friend of Apollo Chorus:

The Apollo Chorus is reaching new heights musically under the superb leadership of Stephen Alltop, ably supported by accompanist and associate director, David Bachmann. We have received enthusiastic feedback from our audiences:

"Great experience, great music. Keep it up and delight us with the wonderful sounds!"

"What a wonderful performance - and to know that it is entirely done by volunteers adds to the marvelous impression. Kudos to you all for your hard work and immense talent!"

While we have many musical achievements of which to be proud, our financial base is not keeping pace. For many years, Apollo has sustained itself primarily on ticket sales; these no longer cover our increasing orchestral and venue costs. While our Development Committee is working hard on plans for underwriting the future of the chorus, we need your help as well.

As with all arts groups, small individual gifts taken together have a far greater impact on our bottom line than corporate sponsorships or increasingly rare government grants. Therefore, we are asking you, our friends and supporters, to consider making a contribution to the Apollo Chorus so that we can continue performing our full annual concert series, while maintaining a healthy financial picture.

Your gift to Apollo can be a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one, to celebrate one's birthday or anniversary, a matching gift, or even a challenge gift. It can be of any size, but we hope you will consider a contribution of $50, $100 or more. All gifts will be acknowledged in the Apollo concert programs.

You may also wish to consider becoming a Legacy Society member. The Legacy Society is composed of forward-thinking donors who have chosen to include Apollo as a beneficiary in their wills. I am a member of the Legacy Society; I encourage you to become a member, as well. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Music makes a positive difference in our world, and we feel its spiritual power every time we come together in song. Thank you for joining our effort to build a sustainable future, while keeping first-class choral performances available to all.

Peace and Goodwill,

David Beer
